There are people who can craft songs that sound and feel utterly and warmly beautiful. To me, one was Stevie Wonder, and one is now Kadhja Bonet.
Everything here is pure beauty: from Bonet's enchantingly soothing voice and wonderfully produced music, to the spellbinding, arcadian psych soul vibes that permeate the album, weaving 70s influences into something new and original.
This is a record that brings you heartwarming joy. One that takes you to a better place. muschiosauro
The style changes from song to song but somehow she makes everything flow together. I started listening to it back in July and haven't gone a week without playing the whole thing a couple times. Really snuck up on me since I'd never heard her first album, but this is great stuff. One review I read said there is a growing sense of "ah fuck it" on this album. I think that's the best way to describe it too. Joshua Campbell
